Manolo Blahnik Something Black Satin Pump

When we first launched Manolo Blahnik Shoes, we had no idea the controversy and anger it would cause! For clarification, The Shoe Goddess does not believe that you have to be spend thousands of dollars to be fashionable. In fact, we often review shoes that are inexpensive. But what we can’t condone under any circumstances is stealing someone’s work. Whether it’s a scam where counterfeit items are sold (see Scam Alert) or a shoe that’s almost exactly the same as a designer original but sold under a legitimate brand, it’s not right.

When I spotted this knockoff, I was completely flabbergasted! I think Manolo Blahnik Something Blue Satin Pump is stunning! I always have, but because it’s from Sex and the City, it’s almost iconic, and it’s not a shoe I personally would want to own. But even worse would be owning a knockoff of it!

Martinez Valero should be ashamed! This shoe is almost exactly the same, just much cheaper looking, especially the crystal broach! Ladies, avoid this shoe!

Pull off a modern look with Alexander McQueen Metallic Leather Boots. This actually has twisted straps, covering your entire foot except the toe and the heel. It shows the silver underside, which has to do with the gradient-like coloring of its straps that are connected to the raised seam through center for more appeal.

Wearing it  would definitely take you to new fashion heights and bring you a fashion-forward look that could last for years. It is indeed a striking pair, but it is not too flashy to make it rather dull.

There’s also an elasticated slingback to fit and make this a little comfortable for the foot even for every season. Its heel measures about 4 inches high while the concealed platform is about 1-inch, enough to give you a different taste of monochrome fashion. Else,  this    Alexander McQueen let you show yours full potential.

Jimmy Choo Python Print Suede Slingback is obviously something that you could wear if you are in for some exoticness. Looking at it from afar would somehow show a resemblance with clouds or even with some floral design.The black and white monochrome combination makes this a statement-making pair that could as well be versatile for any trendy outfits at any seasons.

This actually makes this sandal more sassy and sophisticated, but of course, still holding an exotic appeal. It is in a peep toe style and has a slingback strap with silver tone buckle fastening. The wooden heel and platform of about 5 inches and 0.5-inch, respectively, complements on the exotic upper and making it rather refined.

Wearing this Jimmy Choo shoes with any clothing such as dresses, trousers or jeans would still show an exotic appeal, perhaps, in its most sophisticated way.

For anyone taking note you will have noticed that Jimmy Choo shoes was the key accessory to be worn at the Golden Globes. There was a plethora of celebs in attendance all donning the must have designer shoes.  Wow.ie got the inside track on who wore what from the Jimmy Choo  at this years awards.

 Maria Menounos – of Kickin It Old Skool and Fantastic Four… we weren’t sure who she was either and quite frankly we’re only interested in her shoes!  Maria is wearing Jimmy Choo’s Keenan Shoe which is described as a crushed patent platform and the ultimate caged sandal.  To own a pair of these ‘ultimate caged sandals’ you’ll have to part with €725.  Once again they’ll give you endless opportunities to wear with jeans, skirts, dresses blah blah…. yes, I think you get the message, another expense you can justify.

So there you have it, the most popular footwear designer on one of the biggest nights in showbiz was Jimmy Choo, no big surprise really.  You can now consider yourself armed with the knowledge of what’s hot to trot or even hot for your trotters!
